How to connect Claude to your data with MCPSoon

Give Claude Desktop (or any MCP client) tools to read and write your tasks, notes and tables. A token, a URL, one config block — the planned flow.

This is the flow we are building; the server already exists for the assistant’s own use. The config block will look like this (the URL is your instance’s /mcp endpoint):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "assistant": {
      "url": "https://app.example.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <your token>" }
    }
  }
}

Cursor, ChatGPT and other MCP clients take the same URL and header in their own settings.

  1. Create a token

    In the web app, open Account → Integrations → New MCP token. Name it after the client (“Claude Desktop”). Copy it once — it is shown once.

  2. Add the server to the client

    In Claude Desktop, open Settings → Developer → Edit config and add an entry with the MCP URL and the token as a bearer header. Restart Claude.

  3. Try it

    Ask Claude: “List my open tasks” or “What tables do I have?”. The tools appear under the server's name; Claude asks before writing.

Questions

What will Claude be able to do with the token?

Exactly the tool set the built-in assistant has, scoped to your projects. Nothing outside the tools — no raw access to the storage behind them.

Is my data sent to Anthropic?

Only what Claude requests through a tool call and only when you ask it to. The tool results are part of that conversation, under Anthropic's terms for Claude.
