# Freelancing: hours, invoices and the clients who forget

> Log time by texting, keep one table of invoices, get reminded when a payment is late — from the same chat where you take notes on calls.

Freelancing is three lists that drift apart: what you did, what you billed, what got paid. Keep all three as tables you talk to, and the drift stops.

## Logging as you go

“3h for Acme today, API design” — a row in `hours`. “Sent Acme invoice #42, €2,400, due in 30 days” — a row in `invoices`, plus a reminder on the due date.

## Month end

“Hours per client this month” gives you the numbers to invoice. “Unpaid invoices older than 30 days” gives you the list to chase, and “remind me Monday to chase them” schedules it.

## Call notes that turn into work

Notes from a client call become tasks with one sentence — and stay linked to the note so the context is one tap away.
