# Reports the AI writes, your browser runs

> Describe a recurring report or check. The AI writes a small program that runs on your data inside your browser — nothing leaves it.

A spreadsheet with a pivot table is a report that never updates. An automation is a report that rewrites itself every time you run it — a few short steps, written by the assistant, run on your tables.

## What an automation is

A small program made of steps: each one queries your tables, does the maths and shows a result — a headline number, a paragraph, a table, a chart. The assistant writes it from your description, checks that it runs, and refuses to save a broken one.

## Where it runs

In your browser. The web app starts a sandbox in your tab, loads the automation and runs it against your data through your own signed-in session. The result is saved as a snapshot — the steps and their outputs — so the chat and the note that embeds it can show the last run without re-running.

## Embed it where you read it

An automation can be embedded in a note with a wiki link. The note shows the last run; one tap opens the automation to run it again. That is what a dashboard becomes when the tool is a conversation: a note with live pieces in it.

## Fresh on open <Soon />

Embedded automations re-running by themselves when you open the note, so the numbers are never stale.
